Château Couhins-Lurton is the emblematic estate of the André Lurton family. With a sublime terroir of gravel and clay, the red wines are made from fruity and smooth Merlot grapes of great elegance and a sophisticated smokiness.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Colour is a very dark purple-red, almost black, with purple highlights.
Nose: The nose is very intense, marked by notes of black fruits (blackberry, sour cherry, elderberry). The whole is enhanced by a slight smokiness and some sweet spices.
Mouth: On the palate, it is a very rich wine, with a good structure and ripe tannins. Its freshness is particularly pleasant. It is a very elegant wine, full of finesse. Its ageing potential is remarkable. It can be waited for a few years (3 to 4 years), before being enjoyed.

White meats, game, vegetables, cheese, red meat, such as oven-roasted suckling lamb, risotto with ceps, or even a capon fricassee with truffles for a special occasion. A great moment of tasting!
