TASTING NOTES
Avantis Collection has an opaque garnet colour with ruby tints and complex bouquet of black and dried fruits (prunes, figs, blackberries), spices and vanilla, constantly developing. Very full palate with aromas of ripe black fruit, jam, pepper, sweet spices, pepper ink, coffee, chocolate and tobacco. Ripe, fine-grained tannins, powerful structure and long length. The suitable word for it is ‘Concentration’.
PAIRINGS
Avantis Collection Syrah pairs well with grilled meats, BBQ, and dishes with intense flavors like caramelized liver, fried Camembert with red fruit jam, or braised meat with caramelized onions. It also accompanies well dishes with veal, beef, lamb, game and mature and hard cheese.
Aging: 10 – 15 years.
Unfiltered and unstabilized wine. Any amount of sediment in the bottle is normal. It is recommended to decant it into a carafe 1 hour before consumption.
