Description
Tomintoul “With A Peaty Tang” has been made with peated malt barley to give it a deep smoky flavor. This makes “Peaty Tang” very unusual, most distilleries in the Speyside region do not use peat.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Sweet and sooty with aromas of campfire smoke, ginger biscuits, coffee grounds and smoked meats with subtle nettle freshness.
Taste: Layers of hazelnut, smoky bacon and treacle toffees mingled with toasted oats, peat smoke and sweet liquorice with lemon zest highlights.
Finish: Nutty and smoky with notes of coffee cake, roasted pecans and lingering clove spices.
