Description
After “sleeping” for 15 years in hand picked oak barrels this aged whisky exudes a heathery smokiness moderated by soft Speyside malt.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Pronounced and smoky with aromas of peat reek, caramel shortbread and syrup sponge cake mixed with cigar smoke and candied peels.
Taste: Rich and complex with layers of lemon curd, burnt toast, espresso coffee and cake spice followed by toasted coconut, dark chocolate and a fireside smokiness.
Finish: Toasty and warming with wood spice, brazil nut toffee and pontefract cakes lingering on the tongue.
