Elaboration process - Aging

The Solera system is an antique technique used to dynamically age Spanish brandy and sherry wines. Matusalem's contribution to the system was invaluable, making its flavour matchless. The medium toasting of selected ex-bourbon barrels and rum blending is strictly supervised by the "Master Blender", an extremely important position that has helped maintain the unique essence of Matusalem rums since 1872.
