Description
Grape Variety: Xinomavro
“Naoussa Kir-Gianni”, the name is heavy, but it contradicts the elegance of the new wine. Kir Yianni Naoussa matures for 12 months, mainly in French and a few American oak barrels, 225 and 500 liters, 3 to 5 years old. Further reductive aging in the bottle for 6 months. It comes from selected vineyards of the Kir-Giannis Estate of young age and collaborating vine growers in the area of Naoussa.
Garnet red, typical color to Xinomavro. Vibrant red and black fruit on the nose, with aromas of strawberry, cherry, and plums. A crisp and fruit-forward mouth with delicate notes of sweet spices and tobacco. Full body with good acidity and smooth tannins adding structure and leading to a pleasant finish.
PAIRINGS
It is pleasant to drink on its own and accompanies meals with red sauces, cheeses, and light meals with fat such as cold cuts.
